Social Media Internship

Joie de Vivre Counseling and Therapy is looking to hire an intern with strong knowledge and understanding of the digital and graphic media landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to graphic design projects, monitoring and posting on blogs and social networks, participating in online outreach and promotion. About the Internship

The purpose of the internship is to foster continued professional development. Interns will gain experience in social marketing and graphic promotion strategy and will have the opportunity to highlight their impact on business performance. The intern will be responsible for coordinating and executing the company’s social media strategy, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. This role offers the intern immersion into a digital recruitment. The successful candidate will work independently under the supervision of the company Director. This role will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and gaining visibility for our brand among clients and candidates.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Creates and edits graphic content for online social media accounts using Adobe products.

  • Develop successful social media strategies that build on our audience base.

  • Writes and distributes relevant content to social media.

  • Monitors and engages our audiences via our social media platforms.

  • Increases, fans, likes and follows.

  • Tracks social media engagement statistics.

  • Assists with ensuring uniform content and tone of voice for landing pages, graphics, and other elements within the communities.

  • Suggests and implements new features to develop brand awareness, including promotions and competitions.

  • Remains up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, designs tools and applications.

Requirements

  • Interest in and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

  • Experience with PC/Internet technologies, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Social Media Platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instragram.

  • Experience with Hootsuite, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, and/or MailChimp, preferred.

  • 1+ years of social media marketing.

  • 2+ years of college experience.

Work Schedule and Time Commitment

The internship will run four months from March 14, 2019 through July 18, 2019. Some job duties may be done from home, but working in the Joie de Vivre Counseling and Therapy office on Thursdays from 10AM-5PM is required.


 

Administrative Internship

Joie de Vivre is offering an unpaid administrative psychology internship. The internship will run from from March 21st - July 18, 2019. Interns will assist the Company as a whole with a wide range of projects related to everyday operations of the practice. In this position interns will learn the administrative basics for running a practice. The intern will gain a better understanding of the role that an administrator can play in company organization, and be better prepared to work in any sector of a company. This is an excellent opportunity for a full-time or part-time student enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with eligibility for college credit. Interns will be expected to be work a minimum of 10 hours per week. Additional hours may be scheduled based on college requirements. The ideal candidate will be available on Thursdays from 10AM-5PM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist Director in guiding the operation of the office.

  • Participate actively in the planning and execution of company events.

  • Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients.

  • Support the whole team to complete work tasks.

  • Research and community health resources.

  • Schedule new clients.

  • Maintain and organize office files.

  • Participate in networking with community connections.

  • Confirm client eligibility and benefits with insurance.

  • Participates in bi-weekly supervision meetings.

  • Create educational worksheets and handout for clients.

  • Assist in the development of outreach workshops or charity events and promotion for the Atlanta community.

  • Write blog articles on topics related to women's health.

  • Post company content to social media.

  • Research local news related events.

  • Assist with the development and upkeep of company referral list.

  • Research psychology articles and news related events relevant to the company mission.

MUST HAVE:

  • Educational concentrations in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.

  • Seeking college credit.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.

  • A team player with ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Highly organized, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Patient, empathetic, and show good judgment in pressured situations.
